Teaching You to Fish

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.

Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

Our desire for Organic Homeschooling is that through it we will assist parents in the high calling of training and disciplining their children for the Lord Jesus Christ. We create tools that simplify the process of educating your child. We provide practical resources and instruction to keep your focus away from “curriculum” and on your child.

This is both a privilege and a calling.

This school year (September 2013–August 2014) is a year of transition for Organic Homeschooling, the ministry, business, and curriculum. Through much thought and prayer, we decided to transition away from providing step-by-step daily lesson plans to a monthly overview. Don’t worry, we still break down the yearly resources into manageable chunks for each month. Here’s a sample:

We also provide a four-week daily planning template on which you can plan or record your lessons for the month: It looks like this:

Here’s a link to the complete document.

For the past three years, we’ve been giving you fish. Now it’s time to teach you to fish!

For those new to Organic Homeschooling, and to homeschooling in general, we plan to release past year’s daily lesson plans as purchasable products. These plans will be updated and available on the site as soon as possible.

Oh, and of course, since you will be doing more of the work, our monthly subscription cost will decrease to $3.95 a month. Unlike the past few months and as in past years, once you subscribe, your credit card will be billed on the 15th of each month. In addition to your receipt, you will receive an e-mail from us with the link to the page on our site where you can download your curriculum and the password for the page. It’s a slightly different process from the past, but one which is simple.

We hope you will agree!

This is AWESOME! i was waiting till now to resub, as last year was kind of a disaster and at some point we just bailed. So i was 1. extremely excited to see the new price, and signed up before i knew of the new changes, but when i read the new changes, i was extremely pleased. i had a HARD time following the day by day plans, either we’d have different days off… or stuff would happen… i plan to follow a loop schedule, and that makes the new format PERFECT for me, so YAY!
